It's Nearing Tax Time

Don't be a procrastinator. File your taxes online, or use the downloadable editions of the various tax preparation software products (which is what I do), or even see your accountant or your neighborhood H&R Block establishment (I did that only once - never again).
ComputerWorld just posted a review of TurboTax and TaxCut for the Mac, which is pretty interesting. Personally, I've used TaxCut for Windows in 10 out of the past 11 years, and it's still my favorite. I used to use TurboTax, but I'm not so fond of the Quicken folks these days, especially since they're so hung up on using 16-bit installers, and I've been running 64-bit Windows for years. (Intuit has historically been slow to take advantage of newer versions of Windows, and I have found that highly annoying over the years.)
Anyway, don't wait until the last minute to take care of this stuff. It's easy and there are lots of options for filing.
