Random Notes on a Leap Day
I have a little bit of everything to share today.
Professional Networking
LinkedIn has performed quite a few upgrades in recent days, and they've upgraded their site quite a bit. It looks nice, I must say. I hope this is just the beginning of them implementing some long-awaited changes, such as the ones I compiled last year.
Technology Upgrades
I'm almost finished with my Vista SP1 upgrades at home, but I haven't started with my systems at work as yet. I should be done by the end of next week, if I'm lucky. And yes, it does make my systems faster. More on that later.
Family Fun
We're supposed to get some good snowfall this weekend. Hopefully, it will be as great as it was last Friday, and I can go sledding with my family again.
Reading A few months back, I read the book "
Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell, and I have to say that this was one of the most insightful books I have read in a long while. Sometime in the next month or so, I'll get around to writing a more thorough review of that book. In the meantime, I highly recommend that you get it.
Entertainment
I recently saw the movie, "Why Did I Get Married?", and it is automatically one of the top 5 movies I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. You have to see the trailer and rent/buy this movie.
Life and Thankfulness
There is a lot going on at home, work and church, but I honestly cannot complain. I am truly blessed, and I try and take time each day to remember that. Not just because there are people who have more problems than I do
(which is very true), but because I am routinely provided with some cool blessings that are significant on their own.
