Community Server Update is on the Horizon...

Service Pack 3 for is on the horizon, considering that by the folks at Telligent.  I'm glad that I checked, because I was planning to update my site to CS2007 SP2 this holiday weekend, but I remembered that I have previously been surprised by updates on occasions such as this.

So, for now, I'll hold off with deployment and just start testing on my home network.  The list of enhancement and bug fixes looks very appealing, especially the updated integration with . I've also started looking at the to see where they are headed with the product/platform, and if it will continue to be the best way to address the needs I have at home and at work.  I'm not primarily a developer, so my goals will necessarily be different from the general development community.  I need  a tool that is easily customizable and flexible.  One such tool is , which we recently deployed at work as an Incident and Project Management Tracking System.   I'll dedicate a separate post to discussing this tool's flexibility.

As for Community Server, I'm mostly using it for documentation, blogging and photos.   I still have to take some time and port my Knowledgebase over to it, but that's going to take more time than I had originally planned, as it has a lower priority than the other irons I have in the fire.  Big Smile
